Explore Model-View-Controller and Visualforce pages with Blanca Leon-Carter as we study for Platform Developer I!
This session, featuring guest speaker Kelsey Shannon, takes a deeper look at logic and process automation, exploring Apex triggers, Visualforce controllers, SOSL, SOQL and DML.
In week 3 of the Platform Developer I study group, Blanca Leon-Carter and guest presenter Kelle Costa take us through logic and process automation in Salesforce – constants, variables, declarative vs programmatic solutions and Apex data types.
We had our largest volume of registrations to date for this study group – 92 people registered to hear all about Organisation-wide sharing, implicit sharing, the Salesforce role hierarchy, sharing rules, manual sharing and team sharing.
The second meeting of the Platform Developer I study group is now available, in addition to the following resources. This week we focused on data modelling and management.
Blanca’s first Platform Developer I session kicks off with a guest speaker – Mark Adcock – to join in taking us through the fundamentals of the Salesforce platform.
The registrations just keep on growing – 85 registrations this month! This was the first time we used YouTube live streaming, so it was a bit fiddly at first, but thanks to everyone for their patience.
Take a deep dive into the communities side of things:

This session also includes a demo of the setup process and what you can expect to happen in Salesforce.
This month had our biggest turnout yet! 73 registrations and we filled the Hangout! Thank you to everybody for your support, and thank you to Susannah for giving us her time to deliver a fantastic presentation.
This month, the community voted to work through one of the key topics in the Platform Developer I exam: Apex basics.
